Privacy Policy

Summary: We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your data, candidate videos are private and auto-deleted after your plan's retention period, and you can request deletion at any time.

1. Who we are

HireBee ("we", "us", "our") is an async video interview platform. Our registered address is available on request. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@hirebee.io.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following information depending on how you use HireBee:


Employers (account holders)

  • Name and email address (on sign-up)
  • Billing information (processed and stored by Stripe — we never see your full card number)
  • Job listings, interview questions, and candidate notes you create

  • Candidates (interviewees)

  • Name and email address (entered on the interview page)
  • Video recordings of interview answers
  • Metadata: recording duration, number of re-records, submission timestamp

  • All visitors

  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
  • 3. How we use your data

    We use your data only to provide and improve HireBee:


  • To operate your account and deliver the service
  • To process payments via Stripe
  • To display candidate video responses to the employer who invited them
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset)
  • To diagnose bugs and improve performance

  • We do not sell your data. We do not use candidate video recordings to train AI models.

    4. Video storage and retention

    All candidate videos are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets. Videos are never publicly accessible — they are served via signed URLs that expire after 1 hour.


    Retention periods:

  • Free plan: videos are deleted 7 days after submission
  • Pro plan: videos are retained for 1 year
  • Enterprise: custom retention configured per agreement

  • Employers can delete candidate data at any time from their dashboard.

    5. Who we share data with

    We use a small number of trusted sub-processors to run HireBee:


  • **Supabase** — database, authentication, and file storage (EU/US regions)
  • **Stripe** — payment processing
  • **Vercel** — application hosting
  • **Resend** — transactional email delivery

  • We do not share your data with any third party beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

    6. Your rights

    Depending on your location, you may have the right to:


  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict how we process your data
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

  • To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hirebee.io. We will respond within 30 days.

    7. Cookies

    We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in (session cookies via Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

    8. Data security

    We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), private storage buckets, and row-level security on our database. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

    9. Children

    HireBee is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

    10. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date below and notify account holders by email if the changes are material.
